How to Rename a Shipping Method?

Steps to Rename a Shipping Method using Ultimate Checkout Customizer

  1. Open the App
    • Go to your Shopify Admin.
    • Navigate to Apps > Ultimate Checkout Customizer.
  2. Go to "Shipping Customizations"
    • In the app dashboard, locate the "Shipping Customizations" block.
    • Click the “Manage” button under it.
  3. Create a Rule-Set
    • Click on the “Create Customization” button in the top right corner.
    • Select the "Rename Shipping Method" option.
  4. Add Customization Information and Set Conditions
    • Enter a Customization Name
      This is the title of your rule-set. Choose a name that clearly describes the purpose of this customization (e.g., "Rename Free Shipping to Complimentary Delivery").
    • Enter the Original Shipping Method Name
      Type the exact name of the shipping method you want to rename (e.g., Standard Shipping, Express, Free Shipping).
    • Enter the New Name
      Enter the new label that should appear to the customer during checkout (e.g., Complimentary Delivery, Fast Track Shipping, VIP Delivery).
    • Add Conditions (Optional)
      Click the “Add Conditions” button to define when this name change should be applied. You can create rules based on:
      • Cart Total
      • Country
      • Customer Tag
      • Customer Type
      • Product Tag
      • Shipping Country
      • Line Item Properties

      Note: If no conditions are set, the shipping method will always appear with the new name for all customers.

      You can set up multiple conditions using OR and ANY logic.

  5. Save and Publish
    • Once everything is configured, click “Save” to publish the renamed shipping method and make it live at checkout.

Rename "Free Shipping" to "Complimentary Delivery" Original: “Free Shipping” → New Name: “Complimentary Delivery”
